Ingredients

Are your products organic?

I use chocolate that is single-origin, organic, fair-trade, and always sustainable. The same applies to the Lion's mane in my bars. The official Labels are not there yet, but the quality measures up nicely.

In the planning: Some filled confections will use ingredients from organic suppliers and local sources. Others made with ingredients from local BC farmers who follow mindful, sustainable practices, even if they aren’t certified organic.

I try to balance my ingredient sourcing to fit my pledge to support the local economy and use sustainable organic ingredients.

Are your products vegan?

All dark chocolate bars and simple treats are vegan. 

Milk chocolates include milk powder and are not vegan because they contain milk.

Are your products gluten-free?

Yes. Our local handcrafted chocolates are processed in a facility that also processes wheat, grains and other gluten-containing ingredients. Traces of gluten may be present.

Do your products contain soy?

No. Our artisanal chocolates do not contain soy.

Are your ingredients fair trade?

Yes, chocolate is sourced through a reputable Canadian importer of fairly traded products.

Where are your ingredients from?

My chocolate is from a farmers’ community in the Dominican Republic, supported by a Franco-Canadian importer of organic fair trade products such as nuts, seeds and chocolates. Learn more about UMANO and the great work they do for a better, fairer economy.

Lion’s Mane is sourced from Harmonic Arts (a B Corporation) on Vancouver Island.

All other ingredients in our chocolates are sourced locally or from Canadian suppliers.

General

Do you make all the chocolates yourself?

Yes! They are all handmade by me in a commercial kitchen using the strictest sanitary standards.

Can I cancel or change my order?

No, sorry. Once your order is shipped it cannot be changed. 

What is Lion’s Mane?

It’s a functional mushroom commonly associated with improved focus and concentration. It’s the subject of widespread research.

Shipping

Do you ship to P.O. boxes?

Yes, I ship to P.O. boxes in British Columbia, Canada.

Where do you ship to?

Shipping is available to addresses in British Columbia only.

What is your return policy?

Because chocolates are perishable food items, they cannot be returned. 

If I order today, when will my order arrive?

I ship three times per week using Canada Post. Orders take from 2 to 7 working days depending on destination.

Is your packaging sustainable?

Not yet, but I’m working on improving this.
